DARA Koh Chang

Our flagship location is situated on the Thai tropical paradise of Koh Chang (Elephant Island), a truly beautiful and secluded isle noted for its safety and security. Aptly described as a ‘rehab resort’, DARA Koh Chang combines an intensive rehabilitation center with a luxury hotel. DARA Koh Chang employs 50 staff including 15 full-time, internationally certified therapists and offers personalized four, eight and 12 week rehabilitation programs.

Located in the stunning Koh Chang National Park, DARA Koh Chang has no shared rooms with clients staying in 40 private villas surrounded by beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. DARA has three different villas to choose from; garden view, sea view and pool villas. All offer air-conditioning, DVD, large en-suite bathrooms, private verandahs and refrigerators. Resort facilities include a 25 meter pool, fully equipped gym, meditation center, massage room, dining area, lounge with a book and DVD library, and free WiFi throughout the center.

Relearning how to relax and socialize without alcohol and drugs is an integral part of recovery. DARA Koh Chang’s weekly group excursions take full advantage of the wide variety of activities available on the island, including beach visits, deep sea fishing, island hoping, jungle trekking, and temple tours.

DARA Koh Chang exclusively employs the CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) treatment philosophy governed by ITM (Integrated Treatment Model), a modality that combines physical, social, psychological and spiritual aspects through a variety of individual and group orientated activities.
